Meet Our Coaches
Coaches do much more than just teach archery, correct technique and help archers to progress in their sport. Coaches support, encourage, inspire and help archers achieve their true potential.

Dustin Miller
Why did I become a coach? I’ve always enjoyed shooting archery & it was a way for me to keep some sanity in the winter time & help kids learn how to shoot.
What do you most enjoy about coaching archery? I most enjoy watching how much the kids improve over the season/years that they shoot. Watching them hit the target the first time to getting a 10 to shooting a 50.

Ethan Allen
Why did I become a coach? I became a coach because senior coaches said that I would do well when helping the archers. My son was shooting at the time, and my interest peaked.
What do you most enjoy about coaching archery? Helping the kids realize their own potential. Seeing their self confidence grow, as well as watching them achieve goals. The best part though has always been and always will be getting to share smiles with the entire archery community.

Vanessa Strand
Why did I become a coach? I have always loved archery since I was little, when I joined the Mesabi East archery team, I was excited to be apart of a team in something I love to do. When I graduated in 2020 I knew I wanted to become a coach, and teach kids the joys of archery!
What do you most enjoy about coaching archery? Watching the kids become more confident in what they’re doing, competing with themselves, and overall becoming their best self’s.

Kyle Ross
Why did I become a coach? To teach the kids the sport of archery and to be apart of an awesome archery team.
What do you most enjoy about coaching archery? To see how excited the kids get when they have a really good practice or meet.

Kinsey Johnson
Why did I become a coach? Having my son joined archery in 2022, I was at the practices helping in anyway I could, decided it was time to be official and help through everything.
What do you most enjoy about coaching archery? Watching the kids hit accomplishments in their archery career and celebrating with them.
